Frequently Asked Questions

Before your session

    • Shower at least 3 hours before your appointment.

    • Shave, wax, and exfoliate at least 24 hours beforehand.

    • Focus on rough areas like elbows, knees, ankles, feet, knuckles, and underarms.

    • Proper exfoliation helps your tan apply evenly and last longer.

    Exfoliation is the most important step for achieving a smooth, even tan that can last up to 10 days. Poor exfoliation may result in uneven fading or patchiness.

  • On the day of your appointment, avoid:

    • Lotion

    • Makeup

    • Sunscreen

    • Perfume

    • Deodorant

    • Oil-based products

    These can leave residue on the skin and affect the development of your tan.

    • Moisturize your skin in the days leading up to your appointment.

    • Do not moisturize on the day of your session.

    • You may wear undergarments, a bathing suit, or go without during your application.

    • Wear loose, dark clothing to your appointment to avoid transfer and streaking afterward.

After your session

    • Avoid sweating or contact with water while your tan develops.

    • Avoid applying lotions, makeup, or creams.

    • If it’s raining or snowing, wear long, loose clothing.

    • Sleeping with the solution on? Wear long sleeves and pants to protect your tan.

    • Wait 1–5 hours or 8–12 hours before rinsing, depending on your solution.

    • Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear.

    • Avoid soap during your first rinse.

    • Moisturize daily to extend the life of your tan.

    • Use gentle, non-exfoliating skincare products.

    • Avoid products containing mineral oil, petroleum, or alcohol.

    • When your tan starts to fade, exfoliate again to remove any remaining residue and prepare your skin for your next glow.
